The Mid-West Division has the fewest drivers per capita in the nation but we cover one of the largest land areas of any division. Yet we have the most racetracks of any division in the SCCA. The MiDiv has Memphis Motorsports Park, Gateway International Raceway outside St. Louis, Hallett Motor Circuit outside Tulsa, OK, Mid America Motorsports outside Omaha, NE in Iowa, Motorsports Park Hastings in south central Nebraska, Heartland Park in Topeka, KS, a questionable track inside Iowa Speedway outside Des Moines, Iowa, recently announced dedicated road course in Marshfield, MO, and now a possible roval at Kansas Speedway near Kansas City. I challenge you to find a division who has 9 or more tracks. I don't believe that the MiDiv has the manpower or resources to support 9 tracks.

"--The motorsports complex would be on 300+ acres and would have a 2.1-mile paved track that would "follow the natural contour of the land in order to preserve the natural beauty of the Ozarks. The objective is to bring a familiy friendly racing complex with an international flair to southwest Missouri."

MiDiv Meetings to be held in the Spring of 2009
After a discussion with the MiDiv Executive Committee it was decided that the convention originally scheduled for November 2008 will be rescheduled in February to coincide with the Club Racing Stewards meeting. It will be held in Memphis, TN and details will be released by the host region as soon as they are finalized.
Scheduling and planning for the 2009 season will be held by conference calls in the fall of 2008 with the representatives for each region.
